Call for posters

The ACM COSN poster track showcases works-in-progress in an informal setting. Topics of interest are the same as research topics in the COSN conference call for papers. We strongly encourage student and industry submissions. At least one of the authors of an accepted poster must present the poster at the conference.


Why Should You Submit A Poster?

Presenting a poster is a great opportunity to obtain interesting and valuable feedback on ongoing research from the knowledgeable crowd at COSN. Presenting a poster is also a fantastic way to meet people in the COSN community who may be looking for future collaborators.

Posters are not considered official publication and are not included in the proceedings of the conference. Thus, presenting a poster does not preclude you from submitting your work to another conference or journal.


What Is A Poster?

A poster is an A0 size (841 × 1189mm) paper, onto which you can print or affix visually appealing material that describes your research. You should prepare the best material (visually appealing and succinct) that effectively communicates your research problem, techniques, results, and what is novel / important about the work. Posters are a great place to show off network diagrams, novel visualizations, flowcharts, or samples of data taken from social media.
What To Submit

You do not need to submit a large-format poster image for review. Instead, submit a one-page abstract in PDF format that describes your work. You may want to use the ACM SIG Alternate conference style for preparing your poster.

The abstract should clearly state: (a) the problem being addressed, (b) what makes this problem interesting, important, and difficult, (c) your approach to the problem, and (d) the key contribution. Submissions are single blind, so please include authors’ names and affiliation.
